I’m increasingly resigned about the state of K47. The Warlord App still won’t update for me, and the Japanese army—great-looking models aside—remains saddled with rules so underwhelming they barely work on the table and have been passed over for any major review. The Shiboru Cannon is priced like a premium rift weapon, but its ability doesn’t deliver in practice: requiring two hits for a single extra hit, an effect yields success rates that are at best about 1 in 4, more commonly around 1 in 9, and can fall to 1 in 36—so it rarely pays off. It also doesn’t ignore cover like most other rift weapons, and the Type 61 Light Shiboru Cannon seems to cost about the same as a Schwerefeld Projektor, with both recovering 60 points when replaced by a Medium Anti‑Tank Gun.
The B for Bertie rules are still not available either. When B for Bertie finally arrives, Japan will be the only faction without a hero. At this point, feel upset at the lack of support, which isn’t what I expect from Warlord’s product support.
