I had a question about the French basic infantry Section in the current PDF. With the majority of the units being copy pasted over from the previous edition as a temporary filler till the Armies of book comes outs, I was wondering why we lost the ability to run the historically full squad of 12 for the generic infantry section from the last editions Armies of France book? Having one less person as well as the NCO as the SMG or pistol person from the dragoons selections rather than the discounted non-NCO purchasable model conflicts with how the Inexperienced, Regular, and the Senegalese tirailleurs sections options were built from last edition. I was wondering if this is something that could be fixed or are the historical general infantry sections not going to be available until the V3 Armies of France book comes out next spring?
An idea that could work is to drop the dragoon selections into its own box with the current selections for the infantry section keeping the engineers in that selection, since that fits the layout of how the engineers squad from the current pdf and Battle of France book worked. And then you can combine the Foreign Legion section with the Inex, Reg, and Senegalese, with the foreign legion’s correct way of squad composition for all those options with the corresponding experience levels.
Thank you for your time, I just want to have the ability to bring that 12th man that has been currently just sitting on the shelf collecting dust since the change of editions and bring him back onto the table.
