Algoryn A.I Squad

WGA-ALG-02-Algoryn-AI-Squad-a1

The Algoryn are a proud warrior race confronted on all sides by merciless and powerful enemies. Every aspect of their society is geared towards defending the worlds of the Algoryn Prosperate from the terrible threat that surrounds them. Engaged in constant warfare for hundreds of years, the Algoryn are naturally amongst the most battle-hardened troops in all of Antarean space. It is well for them that they are physically tall and robust, with tough protective scales upon their heads and upper bodies, a result of the mutating effect of their homeworld’s erratic double suns that periodically spew searing radiation onto the planet’s surface.

The Armoured Infantry – better known as the AI – are the elite forces of their race. Amongst a people as proud as the Algoryn it is esteemed a great honour to fight as part of the AI. They are the first to confront any enemy incursion and the last to abandon even the most hopeless of positions. They carry rugged, practical weaponry in the form of mag guns and micro-X launchers, whilst their leaders are armed with mag pistols and devastating X-slingers designed for short range fighting. Their armour combines lightweight armoured plates and reflex field generators that enwrap the wearer from head to foot.

This box set contains the following metal models:

  • 1 Algoryn AI squad leader with mag pistol and X-sling
  • 5 Algoryn AI troopers with mag guns
  • 1 Algoryn AI trooper with micro X-launcher

Boromite Work Gang

WGA-BOR-03-Boromite-Work-Gang-a1

Boromite Work Gangs are armed with Mass Compactors, which are extremely powerful at short ranges and, given that they are used for asteroid mining, they easily cut through any cover an enemy is sheltering behind.

This box set contains the following metal models;

  • 1 x Gang Leader with Mag pistol and Mass Compactor
  • 5 x Ganger with Mass Compactor

Concord Strike Squads & Support Drones

WGA-CON-16-Strike-Squads-+-Drones-a

Strike Squads form the core of the Concord Combined Command’s armed forces wherever they are deployed. Strike Troopers are amongst the best-equipped fighters in all of Antarean space. They carry multi-function plasma carbines capable of punching a hole through most armour or shooting rapid bursts of deadly plasma bolts. Strike Troopers are protected by invisible hyperlight armour suspended from the nano-cored casing of their battle suits. This advanced armour provides complete atmospheric isolation as well as effective shielding against enemy weapons. Strike units are often accompanied by small buddy drones, such as spotter drones that act as the unit’s ‘eye in the sky’ feeding vital targeting information into the squad’s sophisticated combat shard.

Strike formations are often accompanied y units of C3D1 Light Support Drones. These lightly built drones are self-sufficient fighting machines that are ideally suited to the mobile support role. They are armed with plasma light support weapons, which are easily capable of dealing with even relatively well-protected targets. Although not as heavily armoured as larger drones, their composite skin and reactive kinetic shields enable them to withstand hits from most light arms.

This box set contains the following multi-part hard plastic models:

  • 2 x C3 Strike Squads – Each squad includes ; Squad leader with plasma carbine and x-sling, 4 C3 Strike Squad Troopers with plasma carbines (1 may be upgraded to a plasma lance) and 1 spotter drone.
  • 2 x C3D1 Light Support Drones with plasma light support or subverter matrix and 2 C3 Spotter Drones.

Freeborn Mhagris Feral Squad

WGA-FRB-05-Freeborn-Mhagris-Squad-a1

The Freeborn are great merchants, travelling between worlds and civilisations, exploring for new worlds and races, and always looking out for new opportunities to rise in wealth and power amongst the peoples of Antarean space. And power itself is a commodity that they are more than willing to trade!

The Freeborn can supply weapons and technology to those who have need of it – or complete armies and fleets if the price is right! From a small continent of fighters to vast hordes – the Freeborn can facilitate the dreams of any would-be conqueror, or perhaps fulfil the desperate need of those faced with annihilation by forces beyond their power to resist.

To ensure a continuous supply of troops the Freeborn recruit savages from feral, degenerate or primitive worlds before training and equipping them ready for sale to the customer.

The Feral squad is typical of these war-like savages. They are armed with relatively simple and cheaply made mag weapons that spray splinters of metal at their target. Each squad includes a magnetic X-launcher, which can hurl shot over the heads of enemies and drive targets from cover.

Feral troops wear a version of the typical Freeborn undersuit. In their case this often a second-hand or surplus example, and many troopers cut down their suits to afford more freedom of movement. It is very common for these degenerates to wear tribal marking, warpaint, or primitive decorations that hark back to their savage origins.

This box set contains the following metal models:

  • 1 Feral leader with mag gun
  • 5 Feral Fighters with mag guns
  • 1 Feral Fighter with micro X-launcher

Ghar Battle Squad

WGA-GAR-02-Ghar-Battle-Squad-a

The Ghar were forged in the forgotten depths of time with one purpose – to wage war! They are feeble and helpless creatures without the protective battle armour that all Ghar warriors wear to battle. Once encased within their metal shells, physically attached by plugs inserted into their spines, they become stronger and more powerful than any mere human. Ghar battle armour is powered by plasma reactors designed to channel raw energy through magnetic lines to their metal limbs and weapons.

Ghar Battle Squads are armed with deadly Scourer Cannons. These weapons’ triple-vaned magnetic focal arrays allows them to fire a tightly focussed beam of plasma or to open out, like the petals of an unlikely flower, and scatter their deadly plasma over a wider area. As if this were not sufficient the Scourer Cannon is constructed around a disruptor launcher capable of lobbing spatially destructive disruptor bombs onto a target. With these three attack modes the Scourer Cannon is ready to face and overcome any enemy in any situation.

This box set ontains the following multi-part plastic models:

  • 3 Ghar in battle armour with Scourer Cannons

Each of the box sets above can be chosen FREE when you purchase a copy of ‘The Xilos Horizon’ through the Warlord webstore – but hurry, this offer only applies for a very limited time, so place your order as soon as is possible to ensure that you don’t miss out!
