Roman Aquilifer .... again

Postby Cubster » Mon May 14, 2012 6:48 pm

It doesn't often happen, but sometimes I feel the need to repaint a mini for one reason or another. With the Roman Aquilifer it was simply a case of too much time having gone by since I painted the first one and he was showing his age on my shelf, so I painted another (actually, I painted two at the same time, so I could use one to familiarise myself with the model and another as the one to keep).

Enjoy!

Gorgeous. Love the mossy tufts. Is that NMM you've used or just spectacularly good use of metallic paints?

It's a bit of a cheat, I've combined metallic and non-metallic paints in NMM stylie remix in the silver bits. I hate trying to do gold NMM, so that's all metallic paint.

Hmm, what word hasn't been used yet...

Absolutely stunning. Face is great, lion's face is excellent!
