GeorgeParticipantHello again,
Interesting, I have been updating the Black Powder Quick Reference chart with Glory Hallelujah American Civil War supplemental rules.
I found something that needs clarification
In Glory Hallelujah page 58 it says under skirmishers “We tend to only use the +1 modifier for skirmish fire when skirmishers fire on formed, close order troops.” I never heard of Black Powder giving a to hit bonus of +1 for skirmishers shooting at formed troops (such as infantry/cavalry line or column formations). It’s not on the BP quick reference chart and even the Glory Hallelujah optional rules summary in the back doesn’t have this modification under skirmishers.
I played a game using the rule and it gave the mixed formations/skirmishers some push in their shooting. I liked it myself.
Is this modifier intentional? Should it be used? Why is not in the Glory Hallelujah special rules summary?
Please advise

Ben Norton “nzdarkelf”ParticipantHi George,
GH was released during the 1st edition of Black Powder. Back then the rulebook gave skirmishers a +1 to hit modifier across the board, so the rule in GH was a varient of that. BP2 does not give skirmishers a +1 modifier to hit, making the GH rule redundant. Of course if you and you opponent wish to include the GH rule in your games you are welcome to. Ben.

GeorgeParticipantAh, I see that now in my BPv1 Rule Book. I’ll keep it as a house rule. Thank you for your reply.
