They cant receive orders from platoon commaders, as they count as platoon commanders for issuing and receiving orders, but can from company officers. (pg 149 and 113)
As a comander they CAN give their +1 morale to infantry… (there’s nothing stating that they are limited to giving morale to vehicles so therefore the default rules of morale being applied to all friendly units in range should work)
The point I was making is they count as platoon commanders and you can only have one comander in a platoon…. So depending on how you read the rule depends on if you can even take them (transports with command vehicle upgrade) in a list….
Now IIRC it says they counts as a pltn cmdr for giving and recieving orders.. which would mean they can be taken in a rifle pltn, but that then breaks the armoured pltn limit of only allowing one! (IE why are Armd pltns limited to one cmnd vehicle but rifle pltns can take as many as they like?)
