&lt;p style=&#8221;text-align: right;&#8221;&gt;I&#8217;ll definitely look for the SHIPS rules, especially because I like home brewing my own ships.&lt;/p&gt;<br />
As far as the list goes, I think I&#8217;ll find a roughly equal BB for each side to make things more interesting.</p>

<p>I was initially thinking that being able to mix planes would make squadrons more interesting, but then again you would probably have people running jets mixed with biplanes and such.</p>

Maybe if the gunner gets sniped the loader can pass an order test to take over the gun or something? But they would have mentioned that in the briefing.</p>

<p>1250 as the new default is interesting. I used the v2 points system to make a few v3 platoons, and I noticed that you can typically throw together two well equipped platoons with all the toys, or 3 minimum sized platoons. (all this changes depending on if you brought expensive armor or not)</p>

I can see both sides of the argument,-on one hand the new composition is more true to history. <p>This looks somewhat more historical than v3, as artillery and tanks were typically in their own platoons/sections that assisted a rifle platoon, and usually there wasn&#8217;t a lone tank thrown in an infantry platoon&#8217;s structure.</p>

<p>It all really comes down to what your playstyle is though. I&#8217;ve heard of people who use MMGs, Medics, and Tiger 2&#8217;s because their goal is to have fun. Historically British airborne squads had 3 SMGs mixed with rifles, so if you do go that way it&#8217;s cool.</p>

I haven&#8217;t played an official game yet so take this with a grain of salt, but what I&#8217;ve heard on this forum and from seasoned players is that mixing LMGs and SMGs isn&#8217;t that effective since they are a &#8220;long ranged suppressing weapon&#8221; and an &#8220;up close and personal fire on the move weapon&#8221; respectively. But if it looks cool, then go with it!</p>

<p>Yeah that&#8217;s smart. A HMG might be a points sink, but the threatening power alone might work as area denial.</p>
