  • Knispel Fan, that’s what I was saying that pretty much overall not many Partisans had Armor. You could always just play the Free French Army out of the Battle of the Bulge book, build it with as many FFI units you want, and just support it with Free French Armor/units or anything you might need. Like the FFI is taking them to the target but will a…[Read more]

  • I did find in Western Desert book you can build a Commonwealth list which includes using Indian troops. (There was the 4th Indian Infantry Division which had Sikh Regiments and Battalions). So he can use that. I’ll keep looking.

  • Invisible Officer, I agree, the books and stories I’ve read on the French Resistance was there were so many different groups (usually divided by Political Parties) they wouldn’t work with each other , stole from each other, even attacked each other. I felt bad for the British Agents and Commandos who had to trained them, organize them, and get the…[Read more]

  • I swore I thought I saw rules for             Sikhs Soldiers in one of the BA books. I have every Army book and theater book and I couldn’t find it. I have a good friend that picked up some Sikh  troops and was looking for the rules. Thank you in Advance.

  • <p style=”text-align: center;”>I made a typo, I meant two “Panther” tanks, not Panzer that were used in the Warsaw Uprising. I believed a Hetze.
    might have been captured too.</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Invisible Officer, yes you are correct in that France did obtain all those vehicles. Some were put into action for Allies, but the FFI Par…[Read more]

  • I use Partisans sometimes to support my Armies. (French and Soviet). Im currently putting  a FFI Partisans list together. With all the research I’ve done, very few Partisans captured Armor. The Yugoslavs did capture some. And the Warsaw Uprising I believe they got two Panzers. Most partisans units did not have Armor. I’m building my FFI Part…[Read more]

  • You can find the Late War French Army list in the Battle of the Bulge Book. Great Army to play.

  • Hi Eric and Everyone!

Im located near Colorado Springs Colorado. I have been building massive Stalingrad tables for Bolt Action so I’m taking a break from all that and working on several German and Soviet Squadrons to use in a Stalingrad Campaign and have a Stalingrad themed Blood Red Skies Table to Demo new players. Will post Pics when as I f…[Read more]

  • What issues were there with Propellers?
where can I find the Article from Warlord on how to mount the props on?

    Thanks, Ed

  • Hey Nat,

Thank for posting about the Yak-1 having the wrong points. I just got two box sets of them and couldn’t believe the low points. I actually came to the forum just to ask about the low Yak-1points. Is there a BLR Erratta out?

  • Yes Nat I agree with the soft cover for the troops on the ship. On the drowning, these boats could navigate really well in shallow water and were very successful getting troops on the shore. On the rare occasion (which I read did happen a couple times) I wouldn’t say automatic kill if they hit the water . I would say on a 1-2 on d6. The Russians w…[Read more]

  • Thanks you,  I see it could be that way too. Oh well, I’ll just make scenarios for it. There are so many great battle stories of the BK boats. I’ve made several large scale historical scenarios and campaigns before so I’ll do like a night mission of the BKs and ferry’s bringing troops and supplies across the Volga, or the Battle of Vienna,…[Read more]

  • I’ve been waiting for the day to justify dropping the bucks on A T-34 Boat. But now since I’m building a Stalingrad table and Russian Army, I finally ordered one. I knew they were used at Stalingrad and the Black Seas, but I recently learned they were used even inthe Battle of Vienna.  Any how my question is on Warlord Store page for the BK, stat…[Read more]

I would take out the Forward Observer. They are very hit and miss and they cost as much as squad. Drop one anti-tank team, make the one Guard squad down to about 8 with SMG, that’s a lot of firepower and now their tough fighters, and get rid of the LMG cause they are you close fighting/assault squad. Then get a T-34/76 tank (Regular) .  Good al…[Read more]

  • HellRaiser 7 replied to the topic Soviet LMG Squad in the forum Bolt Action 4 years ago

That doesn’t answer my question. The little more seasoned or little more training soldiers ( but we’re still conscripts) were given LMGs. The squads with just rifles we’re lower in the pecking order historically ( 100% true). So I just wanted to know why the LMG squad weren’t given the green rule as they have the same point value as some of the…[Read more]

  • Thanx for posting the VB question. I have a pretty big Early War French Army and have used any VBs cause didn’t think that be effective. Now I think I’m going to have field a VB unit. Especially with throwing smoke out there.

Does anyone know why the Soviet LMG squad doesn’t get the Green rule when other Inexperienced Squads get it? Is there a historical reason why?
