Hi George,

GH was released during the 1st edition of Black Powder. Back then the rulebook gave skirmishers a +1 to hit modifier across the board, so the rule in GH was a varient of that. Interesting, I have been updating the Black Powder Quick Reference chart with Glory Hallelujah American Civil War supplemental rules.

Yes it does…

The only way to give a disordered unit any order is to make the units Elite Roll… it to show that if the rank & file are running round like headless chickens it doesnt matter what you shout they aint listening!

Hi George,

You will note in the rule book that it is not necessary to move the actual General into contact with the BC, you could use an ADC for example. The point is he is effectively just a counter, a visual reminder that the BC has a reroll available. So no, I don’t believe the General/ADC has to continue with the BC under a Rally or Follow Me…[Read more]

Thank you for your response. However, #1 is still unclear. Yes, order before movement however the rules give specifics about these moves, namely: 1. An AC moves up to 12″ to join a BC at the start of the command phase before the BC issues his orders. 2. The rally order is the last order given and a BC moves up to 12″ to join him.

1) orders before movement…

2) in v1 Army Commanders could order Brigades… some wording wasnt updated.. but yes in v2 they cant directly order a brigade unless you house rule it

3) terrain, like units, is abstracted in the core rules (not sure about the epic versions) so discuss /come to a concencouse in your group how you want them…[Read more]
