Take part in the world’s largest wargame!

Waterloo

This summer, Warlord Games will be involved in the largest tabletop wargame ever, as part of the Waterloo Replayed project. Collecting together over 20,000 28mm miniatures, the event seeks to recreate Napoleon’s final battle using our excellent Black Powder ruleset.

THE GREAT GAME – WATERLOO REPLAYED

This is a one-off event in June 2019 in support of the charity – Waterloo Uncovered – which will set
a world record for the largest ever historical wargame in 28mm.
An application has been made to Guinness World Records to make this official.

The game will take place on the 15th and 16th June 2019 at the University of Glasgow, Kelvin Gallery, using the award-winning Black ‘Powder rules. The Great Game is running in support of the Waterloo Uncovered charity that Warlord Games has been pleased to help since the Waterloo bicentenary.

Rifles! Forward March!

Our two battalions of riflemen are almost ready to march into battle! 23 of you have been promoted to Chosen Men for your heroic efforts painting 78 of the 144 total miniatures required to fill out the ranks of our two battalions.

The painting’s been done, all that’s left to do is add some static grass and a few judicious tufts and the Greenjackets will be ready for the march up to Glasgow this June!

Thank you to all the Chosen Men who helped us with this magnificent undertaking!

Waterloo

Our two battalions of 95th Riflemen, with the completed models at the front.

We used a quick and easy paint scheme (see this article) that produced great looking models in no time at all, allowing us to wrap this project up ahead of schedule!

Waterloo

A close-up of our riflemen in all their glory!

We’ll also be helping to put on demonstration and participation games of battles in the British Isles, from the Roman Invasion of Britain through to the Battle of Britain. so make sure you book the date in your diaries and come and see us in Glasgow!

The team at The Great Game are keen to get volunteers and gamers involved in their record-breaking attempt. Please contact The Great Game directly if you would like to get involved or offer your support – enquiries@waterlooreplayed.com

Tom Mecredy
Tom spends most of his time buying books and painting miniatures. He enjoys putting animals on the bases of his miniatures and half-finishing side projects. Some say that he lives in a tower on top of some windswept northern hill with his wife and cow-patterned cat, Spaghetti.
