New: Roman Shield Designs!

Steve at Little Big Men Studios has been a busy lad – he’s just sent us a load of his beautiful new Roman shield designs! You’ll find new designs for the Marines and Legionaries here!

Marine Shields

The first thing you’ll notice is that we’ve asked Steve to produce the Legionary sheets with 20 designs on so they more accurately match our box contents. This will save you cash and make things easier all round.

Early Imperial Roman Legionary shield designs 7. Based on designs seen on Trajan’s Column these striking blue shield designs will really make your army stand out from the red-shielded crowd.

Early Imperial Roman Legionary shield designs 8. Representing Legio XI Claudia which, according to Steve at Little Big Men Studios, were forced to serve as Penal Marines after being disgraced. When they served their penance they decided to keep a maritime theme on their shields when they returned as a Legion. How about that for a great theme for your Roman army?

Early Imperial Roman Legionary shield designs 9. Representing Legio IX Hispana these designs are a more traditional approach with the usual red and gold combining well. Imagine a Testudo kitted out with these – tasty!
