Could they also be used as German models? Are the similar enough?

Have a great week!

Hi Allan,

Yes they could be used as Germans - the look is very generic in the first plastic set. All you'd need to do is put any bearded heads in the fornt of the unit for forms sake. Maybe model on a club or two?

BUT...

We'll also have a German boxed set (amongst others) out in the not-so-distant future...

I love our Romans but the Celts are something else. I started a Foundry Ancient British army but it was both expensive and lacked the character of movement I wanted in the army. Sadly they were the best models around for Celts in in my opinion. Now I can't wait to get stuck into our Celts and finally get my British army up and running.

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks Paul,

I will look forward to the Germans. Mmmm modelling bearded heads. I am sure I can find a picture of my Mother-In-Law around here somewhere!

Happy Gaming,

Allan

Wow, bowl cast torsos Tongue out- this method works so well for Confrontation minis. Can't wait to see pictures of the new ranges.

As much as I want to see loadsa new stuff coming out, don't do a Games Workshop and release too much each month that us mortals with mortgages and bills (and kids!) cannot keep up with the purchasing and painting. I wanted to collect all of the Lord of the Rings minis but have had to stop due to the sheer volume of new releases. Slow and steady would be great without having to create a huge credit card bill and an even more massive painting backlog.

Keep up the good work - and it is VERY good.

can you give us an idea as to what else we can expect to see from the celt range. the plastics are superb and ive seen the druids etc that you had at salute. is there plans to do cavalry and chariots at all?

also are we likely to see differant types of infantry. id love some berserkers or some more elite looking clansmen, wearing a touch more armourn better weapons etc.

im just trying to guage my spending over the coming months as i play several games as it is and the funds may need to be jiggled around Wink

I do have some questions for the gentleman at warlord games.

DO The new germanics include cavalary ?
are the 1st century or later?
What other germanic and celtic stuff are you planning?
and are these in plastic.

by the way the sarmatians look good ( is there some lighter cavalary also underway ?)
