Hi all,
here are a few pictures of my growing DBA-Army. It's going to be finished as soon as the Plastic Auxiliaries arrive.

Damn those are nice!
That is looking great - I particularly like the marching men being urged along by the optio and you've done a lovely job of the Numidians.

Splendid! Absolutely wonderful pictures. Finally somebody else who does green scabbards.
I like the red of your tunics, what colour did you use???
Also the auxiliary cavalry look just awesome.
Very clean and convincing paint job. Well done.
I sincerely hope you will be sharing more pics of your troops as you progress.
Cheers

Hi,
thank you very much for these kind words and your encouragement. I'm glad you like the figures!
Of course I'll be posting other pictures soon. At the moment I'm filling the galeries of my clubs website with pictures (the work is not finished yet but may be worth a look: http://www.ulmer-strategen.de/28mm.htm), alas most of the figures are from other companies. I like the Warlord Style very much and I'll certainly expand this collection.
@ Suetonius Paullinus: The red is Vallejo 909 Vermillion followed by Vallejo 817 Scarlet. As for the scabbards: I'm hopelessly influenced by Peter Conolly. His books were a firm part of my childhood...
Cheers, Tobi
Wow!These are some of the best figures on here!Absolutely excellent.
Dazzles.
I have to agree with the posters above - they are some of the best Romans I have seen to date. Well done, Sir Tobi, a fantastic post.
Wow alright!
I concur with SP and the rest. Excellent paint jobs. Very clean and bright and convincing.
And the green scabbards do look great. I am a brown scabbard kind of guy, but I think green adds a good spot colour, that breaks up the palette nicely.
Please keep posting as they come.
Jim
Excellent!
First time I ahve seen them, very impressed.
We have even picked the same Sheilds for the Legion and Cavalry :)
Any more pictures???
