Re: New Webstore

Whether you live in the USA, Britain, Indonesia, or anywhere else in the world our products now cost the same. VAT isn't part of the equation now - we can ensure that no matter whether you buy Warlord Games products from our US or UK webstores you'll be paying the same.

This has been an important step for us as local gaming shops were concerned that people were coming direct to us due the the reduction over VAT. Clearly that wasn't a fair situation.

We realise this is a change and that nobody likes change!
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

Hello, Paul.

I assume the GST is being paid to the UK Government, even for OS orders. These are usually tax exempt by the trade agreements as I understand it. Otherwise, if the GST is "kept in-house", it would mean that OS orders are actually paying more for their goods. Besides, where I live there is no "local gaming store" - 1000 miles doesn't qualify as local in my book.

Cheers!

I don't.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Well at least its not failgames workshop, or mantic *starts laughing at how utterly pathetic they in particular have become*
It has been made very clear by members and Paul I am not welcome on this forum because I don't bend over and agree with everything warlord does.

Unfortunately I don't care what any of you think...at all.

Now? Yes. But we don't see it, as the prices are converted to US dollars. Essentially, as a Canadian, I get the VAT inclusive conversion to US dollars, THEN another exchange to Canadian dollars. There is NO DUTY on hobby collectibles to Canada. So there should be no extra charges incurred.

I remember the GW days of buying, and the perceived arbitrage... :(

I suppose WG haven't had a price increase in a long time, their products are very reasonably priced already, so I can't really complain.

Forgive me for being thick.I could never figure out how much I was getting charged on the old website either. It never took off the VAT till I went to pay and then I was charged in GBP by paypal so it was all pretty confusing.
So the price on the US site in US dollars is what I will be charged on check out then.No 20% added just not taken off?

Yes, that is correct.
