And now for something completely different...

Postby grant » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:25 am

I have become tired of painting Napoleonic French of late, and have switched to different scales for a change of pace. This weekend, I built a 2x2 gaming tile for 1:285 (6mm) scale Cold War gaming. Ordered a bunch of Canadians and Soviets c. 1967/68, and this is what they shall be fighting over! It started life as a DBA board, just 2x2 mdf with a piece of old GW battle mat on it. I then used spray cans and masked off areas of farm and road. Added some clump flock to make the edges. And then used the free card stock buildings by the amazing Peter Gompel! Still have some buildings to make, and some forests to add, but I am well on my way to having a decent board for my Cold War invasion!

Thanks! Minis coming soon. Pre-NATO colour scheme planned. A delightful diversion from the 28mm French ...

Really excellent, and almost portable! I love to see the amazing variety for projects that people get in to.
