I want a Sumerian army. I still have my 15mm one, but it doesn't do it for me anymore.

I wish WG was going to produce them. I'm tempted to go with CuttingEdge though.....

Cutting edge are incredible. I took up the £1 two random model offer out of curiosity and I was stunned. Some of the best metals out there.
Let them eat Static.

Yup. I have a few packs. The owner use to bounce some ideas off of a couple other guys and myself when he first got started. I've decided to go through him to buy the brunt of my Biblicals...that is...unless WG start producing them.... :?

My answer would be "human history."

The note didn't say how short the period needed to be...

I'd say Dark Ages would fall into the Ancients category and
Feudal Japan into Horse&Musket..
However,
I think the Gods should be content with B.C. and A.D..
This would already be tough enough for me.
Or how about SciFi & Fantasy vs Historicals?
That'd be easy!

I think I would rather quit the hobby and start collecting stamps than abandoning
a beloved period :?

Damn the gods!

Cheers

I used to have a swell Sumerian army in 15mm from Essex for DBA. The pic in my prior post is my own crop from a picture I took of the Standard of Ur. Small story: In the whole of the Museum, all that I wanted to see was that bloody thing. We got there - it's on the 4th? floor, and my wife had used all the battery in the camera! Ack! I had to shut it off and turn it on to finally get about 5 pictures of the Standard!

If I had an opponent I would do Sumerians in Cutting Edge. At a GBP per figure, in metal, you just can't beat that!

I would love to see the Standard of Ur!!! At one time I was actually learning Sumerian.

We were lucky to see Tut's stuff in the Cairo Museum. You could actually touch the class case the mask was in! What I remember most about that visit (other than the artifacts) was the security - there wasn't any, so to speak. Right in the room with the mask (on the 2nd floor) was an open window. an Egyptian boy, about 12, climbed the tree outside the window, climbed into the window and sat on it's ledge watching us! He sat there for a bit before a guard finally came in yelling "imshi, imshi"!!!

BTW - IIRC my Sumerians came from Essex as well.
