Excellent - I almost pity the poor enemies of Rome trying to charge them down!

Thanks for the nice comments chaps...

That's all my romans (appart from the surgeon and a general) I have 'in stock' done... Deciding wether to get some more veterans, some archers or cavalry next (eventually all of these will be in the army)... Any pearls of wisdom?

The painting and especially the basing are incredible.
Definitely going to try and copy the basing style for some of my fantasy Empire artillery, i've seen it done for character figures but don't recall ever having seen it used for a battery of warmachines. Inspired!

Thanks shadegate. In my mind I was imagining them setting up the artillery on a rocky crop or plateau, which gave me the idea.

Very nice indeedy.......although on some superb level ground they seem to be suffering some counter battery fire judging from the man with his shield raised!....must be some long bows ;)
You have reminded me that my crews are painted but still haven't got round to painting the Scorpio's...too many other things on at the mo!!!
Stunning paint work and basing as always Mike!
