Final three points of SAGA Vikings

Postby 14th Brooklyn » Wed May 16, 2012 3:06 pm

Finished my final three points of SAGA Vikings this weekend (Warlord, Jarl Sigvaldi and the Jomsvikings and a unit of Bondi):

There are also cheat cards / tokens for the Jomsvikings for download on that blog entry!

Enjoy,

Burkhard
P.S.: Some preview pictures (all shields are freehand):

Great work! If the Saga dice were ever available, I might have been tempted!
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

These are lovely... the shields are excellent. Love the champion on your blog with the wounded enemy at his feet.

Burkhard, sorry to hijack your thread but do saga miniatures have to be based on round bases?

Lovely stuff.

North Star are out of the Viking and Anglo-Danish dice, but have the rest in stock - http://www.northstarfigures.com/list.ph ... 408&page=1

THX guys!

@Mike: No highjacking there. I would have pointed Grant to the DIY dice as well! Regarding the bases. The rules say nothing about basing (I am not even sure you would have to base them as singles). You can mix base sizes and shapes even within a Warband if you like.
I just knew that "official" SAGA minis always come with the flat, round Renedra bases. Since I had a lot of those lying around for my WWI project anyway, I just used them, in case this ever becomes official.

Cheers,

Burkhard

I'm almost tempted to do some bigger SAGA age actions by basing 3/4 to a 50mm round base and keeping all rules the same - that'd make levy units look really impressive!
