This War Without an Enemy

Postby Correus » Thu May 10, 2012 6:35 pm

Has anyone else out there read 'This War Without an Enemy'?

I'm really struggling with this book. I'm not even sure what it is about it that's hanging me up but the writing style is a little odd/strange.

I find myself having to re-read sentences, if not entire passages, over and over.

Am I the only one who has found this book a bit tedious to read?

I'm to the point of putting it down and start reading 'Civil War - The Wars of the Three Kingdoms'.

I've heard so many others talk about the Trevor Royle book...I just hate to quit on this one, but life is short right?

Agreed - this is excellent

Might have said it before but war of the three kingdoms is my favourite one volume ECW history! A brilliant read.
