You can buy commercial tufts of flowers. I bought one that has ~150 individual flower tufts in red, yellow and white from the model railway section of my hobby shop. They change up bases immensely! Heki was the brand; Army Painter also do some some.

The flowers are from the army painter range and they really help to give the bases that little extra. I'm going to sit down some day and paint up some discarded shakos and backpacks to throw out on some of the emptier bases,

It's really encouraging to hear that you liked this guide as we have more ones planned, specially next month when I start to build my own gaming table.
