YIPPEEEEE - I've finished!

Postby Phil » Fri Feb 13, 2009 10:00 am

My British army is finished - at least until Paul and Co bring out something new and shiny that I can't resist...

More photos, and more detailed photos, will follow.

Cheers,

Phil

That, Phil, is a Herculean task! Congratulations on finishing it, it looks absolutely epic!

Congrats!

A true masterpiece Phil.

You shouldn't stop painting you know. Really, have you seen all the previews of things to come?

I'd love to see these things done in Dr Hendry- style..Cool

Cheers

Great stuff Phil! Only leaves one question... is this based on your Celts or completely new?

Cheers,

Burkhard

I'm not stopping - still got more Romans to do for one thing! But once those are done, I may well take a break to get some games in.

370 'Olley Points' worth of figures there. I'm utterly gobsmacked that I've actually finished them. The 'worst' (and best) bit was/is painting 200 warriors for the warbands.

Well done Phil. Now you have reached the great point that you can add stuff to the army because you like the miniatures and not because you have too them.

YIPPEEEEE - I've finished!

Postby Phil » Fri Feb 13, 2009 11:45 am

Yes indeed. I'm beginning to have ideas already...

Like doing a chariot-mounted standard bearer - use the Chieftain's chariot, with driver, and the Army Standard Bearer - hack the base off the ASB, and fit him in the chariot. The 'spare' Warlord can be mounted on a base and used as a foot chieftain (oh, and that was my idea, so if anyone nicks it before I've done, it, I'll come round and break their legs - okay? Wink) I've got a few plastics left over too - so I might have a go at 'kit-bashing' a 'line-breaker' model or two - someone leaping at the Roman line like a complete nutcase. But not now - I'm too pre-occupied basking in the glory of having finished the army!
