Had a go at this today. Split some bamboo squewers as the verticles and tried to weave pipe tapers (thinly sliced) through them. Complete waste of time. The uprights became very 'stressed' Any suggestions?
If you can get it, florists wire is very good for bending but keeping it's shape (if that makes sense), you can get different thickness and it's only a couple of quid for loads of it (I got mine from Hobby craft), maybe pop rivets from B&Q (other DIY stores are available ) again a couple of quid for loads, as it's all metal might be a bit more sturdy.
