Well, as the paints will be released on 7th April you would have left without any.

Good point :D ... however from the window display they had quite a lot in as tester pots so I might have been able to at least try it out...

I was fairly positive, not too negative about this when I first got the news but the more I think about it the more it will cause me to leave citadel paints. Having to learn new names and shades, which kind I need etc doesn't appeal to me, If I am doing that I may as well learn names/colours from other ranges entirely. That and my local stockist is a bit on the fence about stocking them, a 150 paint range is quite a big stock outlay for a small shop, and some colours of the previous range just don't move... he still has one of the tuquoise type colours in the old black lid style pots!

Might give the Vallejo sepia a try see if i can replace Devlan.

That, exactly that. Wondering if more (esp historical) gamers are making that move now, the last reason to by off GW (convenience) gone as well. Heard the texture paint is pretty rubbish, others a bit like before. Don't care too much actually, like many here I'll be finally making a definite move to another supplier (yet to be determinded, ordered some paints of various brands to compare).

If you use the Vallejio Sepia Wash ,then add a little flow enhancer( sometimes called Flow Improver depending on the brand) THis will improve the effect and will be a worthy replacement for Devlan Mud,I do want to try the new GW equivalenmt and I intend in giving it a test in due course.

I'm switching completely over to Coat d'Arms so I can keep the same paints for all periods. I really can't stand vallejo.
Let them eat Static.

For those of you who still want the old Citadel range and has to be Citadel for a perfect match then you may want to try Hobbycraft. I popped in yesterday to pick up some White Spirit and noticed that the old Citadel range was virtually left intact . In fact I would keep an eye on these as sometimes they will sell them off prior to new stocks bering received ;)
