@ SP, I really like these and am trying to resist buying some WW2...I really wish that Warlord would sell more single sprues like the Pike and Shotte so I could get a cross section of WW2 plastics to paint.

@ Big Al, I have not posted anything yet either...I will if you will! Lets try to get some of our miniatures posted by at least July? That gives us both plenty of time to mess about with photos and uploading. Deal? (no I am not Noel Edmonds)

@westwaller
Ebay is usually the place to look if you want single sprues...so no excuse not to paint some of those lovely minis ;)

Finished the 2" mortar team:

And started to give ze Germans slings for their rifles as well:

Bugger me I just noticed that!

It looked so natural I just glanced over it :oops:

Great work mate!

Are you making the straps from card and the lanyard from wire?

Excellent work mate. You are making me want to at least match the quality you are putting out here :D

More loveliness SP... Do you add the strap when you are making them, before undercoat? I am going to blatantly steal the gun strap thing for my next group of commandos.

Thanks again for your kind comments gentlemen,

@Allan
The lanyard is actually a superglue treated piece of thread I pinched from my better half 8-)
@mikeland
Due to austerity measures I do not undercoat my plastics at all :shock:
I know it's kind of heresy...works alright though :lol:
Ideally the rifle slings (paper!) are being fitted before painting, of course.
The Jerries got a little paint makeover at the same time so I didn't need to worry about any form of accuracy anyways :oops:

Next section of Tommies will be assembled soon (-ish)
and then it's gonna be Deutsche Wehrmacht for a while.
Possibly interrupted by ECW and more Phalangites 8-)

Cheers

Thanks for the info on the lanyard. I will definitely use it myself in future projects.

Do you treat the paper slings with superglue as well?

Excellent progress getting so many figures done!

Happy Painting,
