Rebasing

Postby Loki » Sun Mar 25, 2012 4:35 am

:| So I dug up a bunch of my WG Romans and Celts from the garage. Much to my dismay I glued GW circle bases on them!? Glue debonder didn't work so i'm kinda stuck. Could I just use the trays from war of the rings? Do you think it will have a big impact on the game or will I need a bone saw? LOL thanks a million! This is my first forray into historicals btw!

I think the WOTR trays would be splendid. As you have two armies, they will be matched for size on frontage. Perfect!

Yes, like Grant says, the GW trays would work fine. Hail Caesar is not concerned with the number of figures in a unit so utilising movement trays to mount individually based figures to form a unit is fine.

Warbases do some very reasonable priced laser cut MDF movement trays specifically designed to take these bases.

I have recently started doing some Lord of the Rings Hail Caesar.

I use the WotR bases. 2 wide for standard units, 1 for small, 3 for large. Warband (orcs) and cavalry 2 bases deep.

It worked fine and looked great. - and I loved not having to fiddle around removing figures as casualties.
