Assuming that the Baden helmets are the same as the Bavarians, just above the peak there is a horizontal metal band bearing the regimental name (I think, I can check my references later). You can see the band in your pic.
Well, here's my WIP. Not going to be putting any real sculptors out of business. Managed to move the caterpillar down. Couldn't get it more forward. Added chains, an oval plate, and a suspicious looking side plume. Only 9 more to go? ? ?
