Nothing but praise

Postby Gaius » Sun Apr 27, 2008 6:54 pm

I've just discovered this site, after digesting it all and picking myself off the floor I feel the need to articulate how amazing and much needed this venture is for historical miniatures!

Those Romans look fantastic I'll be ordering up a few boxes soon and look forward to posting the fruits of my labour on here.

Excellent strategy making them 28mm, I'm sure once mounted on a GW base they will look right at home with everyone’s Warhammer collections. I'll be doing a lot of converting with these babies to prove the point.

And Paul Sawyer: everyone’s favourite Citadel Journal and White Dwarf editor… so far everything about Warlord games just screams 'Success' at me.

Keep doing what your doing chaps.

Thanks for the kind words, Gaius. We're delighted you like what you see here and hope you'll equally pleased in the coming days as we show off more of our metal Roman and Celt ranges...

Cheers,

Paul

Well, first off from the starting blocks with plastic Romans - where were you 15 years ago when I wanted them??!!

Are you taking suggestions for future ranges? If so, Dark ages for the battle of hastings and ancient hoplite Greeks, either will get my salary quickly pouring into your bank account...

Good Luck, hope the sales repay your efforts,

Bevan

Couldnt agree more with the sentiments here-particularly about how well the minis would look next to the rest of our GW collections. Keep going guys-theres an obvious gap in the market, and I hope you fill it!

We have plenty of plans for the future and are well donw the road with some of them. Suffice to say they're hush-hush for now - let's focus on the not-yet-released Romans! ;)

Kingdom of Heaven;

Saladin;

Richard Coeur de Lion;

Third Crusade...

Plenty of companies do First/Second Crusade but, other than Black Tree's half-hearted attempt, no-one has really had a shot at the later stuff. It is, in many ways, the most interesting of the Crusades to do - some good battles, plenty of chivalry - and treachery - good kings, bad kings, rogues, religious orders, pilgrims, etc, etc.
The possibilities for simply gorgeous figures are almost endless.
But anyway, that's enough dreaming - got some Romans to carry on painting!
