Alternate rules sets

Postby Chilledenuff » Thu Mar 22, 2012 11:25 am

Being an incredibly impatient chap aI was wondering what rules sets people recommend whilst we wait for the Warlord rules to come out. I've got a copy of the Warhammer ECW rulebook and FoG is looking tempting but I thought I'd ask people in the know. :D

I ue Chipco's Age of Gunpowder rules, they're fast play inexpensive and are useful in a whole range of other periods as well. I thinhk there are also some free ECW rules by perfect general (might have the name wrong) that can be found on line.

I found units in Warhammer ECW to be very brittle - not sure how historical that is as it's well out of my period, but games can be quite short. Still I know some people that love em to bits :)

Very true!
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Errrr .... do you mean rules that you use one after the other? Only joshing!

I thought the armys lists in WECW were very good.

WRG 2nd Edition Renaissance by Gush are obviously the benchmark against which all rules for this period have to be measured.
