ROMAN AUXILIARY COMMAND

Postby Biggus Dickus » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:48 pm

Somehow I've got to try justify another box of Auxies so i can get my hands on the command figures! Perhaps I'll convert them all to Archers..............but where to get 24 composite bows from???I'll have to raid W.F for some bits...I could try knicking all the bows out of my daughters pack of Amazons when they arriveWink....but it might not be enough..........this is why i need a conversion sprue guys, for times like this!I'd happily swap some auxiliary shields and transfers for some bows, Plastic numidian bows should do the trick, that would work i think...any one have those and want to swap?.............when the time comes of course!

ROMAN AUXILIARY COMMAND

Postby Paul @ Warlord Games » Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:26 am

Just to clarify:
  • Our current Auxiliary set is all plastic with no command.
  • Our forthcoming Auxiliary set will be plastic auxiliaries and metal command
  • The command models will be available to buy as a separate pack in the future but there is no date for this.
  • The is already a metal command set available for the Auxiliaries.
Hope that helps.Paul
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

This is all very interesting. So ... I have a box of auxiliaries which are yet to be assembled (I have one set nearly finished) and I'm wondering if the new box of plastics will have some different poses too - so, you know, is it worth waiting on the new box to mix with my unopened box?Clues, however subtle Wink most welcome! The command figures do look good! Looking forward to seeing Phil's panted ones.

ROMAN AUXILIARY COMMAND

Postby Correus » Tue Mar 29, 2011 10:04 am

I think I know where MY confussion with this is coming from - note, I said MY confussion. Before I purchased the two packs from the guy on eBay I asked if these were 'plastic' and the response was 'yes'.  However, the description on the eBay listing is for the 'Auxiliary Regiment'. I'm beging to think the person who replied 'yes' just assumed they were plastic since WG is known for their plastic minis! Either way I can't wait to get them! This leads to another question though, the metal figures used, I assume, are the same size as the plastic ones - right?  Also, are the molds for the plastic ones based on those for the metal ones (just curious)? Cheers!Larry

@ Biggus Dickus:I'd be more than happy to swap Numidian or Viking bows to get Auxiliary transfers and shields and spearheads!!!I need them for my current conversion project...Cool Please fell free to pm me at your convenience. And whoever happens to want to swap/ sell Auxiliary heads please do so as well Smile. @Paulwill the re-loaded box be more expensive and if so will the 'classic' box be still available later?(Sorry to be a pain Embarassed) Cheers S.P.

You've got yourself a deal there buddy, when that box of Auxies hits the shelves and i have one I will let you know, and send you the bits I don't need,.... Shields, transfers and spears. I'll likely need all the heads though......but might use a mix of head gear just to break them up a bit so you never know! I'm aiming to arm all 24 of them as Archers, so will need quivers too if you have them!LaughPM details to follow shortly.

Hallo,
There will be any possibility to buy the metal command separately from the auxiliary plastic box in the near future?
