Mushy peas = Marmite? I prefer some nice, thick gravy with a pie. :)

Steak and kidney with mash and gravy - can't beat it! I would have musht peas with it but, they do something rather horrid to my insides and I end up being very ill.

Niet tovarich, it must be pinched across the top for a traditional Cornish pasty. Other regional pasties are no doubt available (and edible) in various configurations, yet to be a true Cornish pasty it has to have a top crimp


@ Cubster, I personally think that both ways of crimping taste just as good, but how do you explain this??

I explain it easily with my own stupidity.

I knew it was one way or the other and clearly got it wrong.

If I am going to be held responsible for my own brain then frankly I regard it as highly unfair.

@Cubster, To be honest I thought you WERE right. I just googled it to see. I bet you could easily find another source to prove yourself right. 8-)
