Royalists for the Good and Rightful King

Postby grant » Mon Mar 19, 2012 7:09 pm

In anticipation of the Pike & Shotte book, I hauled out my ECW.
Here'a a shot of the whole lot (obviously going to have add more ... ). There will be a green-coated regiment, and Newcastle's Whitecoats in this lot.

And here's the painted ones:

Nice shading, especially on the red.

Lovely work Grant! These look great. Are these the famous Blew Coates? Love the Rupert and Boye... I do love to see painted Pike and Shotte! There arn't enough ECW pictures on here by half in my opinion. (all these WW2 and Romans and what not)!

Thanks guys! Yes, they are meant to be Rupert's Blew Coates. Also clearly inspired by the WHH ECW book by Squire John Stallard.

More to come! Nap Hussars are on the drying bench following the AP technique at the moment.

Grant, the only good and rightful king died at Bosworth field there after all imposters, Henry tudor was without a father, and had no right to the throne ;) So I believe that makes Charles the first a dandy pretender

very nice figures though!!!

To be fair I.O. is absolutely right, that well known bastard, William the first, was not an heir to England's throne.... the last legitimate King would have been Harold....Hardrada...he at least had a fair claim.
Harold Godwinson may well have been a saxon, but had no more a legit claim than I would now.....and that sadly is a fact.
Just as well I'm not a royalist
