I don't have a camera and i don't find a pic on the internet.
I think waht you guys call the groin armour is on the basic greeks spue.
The thingy i'm chearing is in the sprue of the spartans. the alf size sprue with heads, a spear, a dude and swords

Hmm. Sorry, can't help you then. It's difficult to know what you're on about without an image. I've found something that may be what you're on about, but for some reason I can't post the image and the link won't show the pic when I go into it, but if you Google - immortal miniatures spartans sprue - in 'Images' then on page 2, the 4th image shows a constructed Hoplite with floppy cloth hat. Is that what you were talking about?

Think it is the 4th photo and they look like alternative hats or helmets to me. However, I can't see any bare heads you could use to put them on, so if they don't fit over the helmets, you might need to cut the helmets off in order to fit them. Alternatively, you could attach them to random figures as a sun hat or something for when they aren't wearing their helmets. You know, while marching or something.

Before Warlord took over, the boxes used to have a little booklet included with lots of information in. I don't know if Warlord include that anymore, but maybe if someone has one of those to hand they may be mentioned in there. I have misplaced the one I had.
