Bolt Action British

Postby Suetonius Paullinus » Sat Mar 17, 2012 6:51 pm

All plastic, of course
8-)
I'm taking a break from painting more phalangites for a little while and re-kindled my love for the BAM plastics.
Still got another un-opened box of British, 15 Commandos and 20 Jerries.
And soon 25 GIs will be joining the neverending painting battle.

And a little WIP of my current conversion project. The all plastic 3'' mortar:

Two more crew to do today and tomorrow I'll start painting (Mother's Day celebrations permitting :? ).

Cheers

Lovely work again.

I'm a fan of those card straps.

Brilliant work. Seeing these is a big help to me with putting together my brits, gun straps are great... where is the plastic mortar from?

Awesome work as always SP! I like the straps on the rifle, and I really like the radio operator's posing - he looks like he's about to take an order from 6!

Superb. The weapon straps are great but the best part is the Webley lanyard.

Thank you all for your kind comments gentlemen!

@mikeland
The plastic mortar is from the plastic British by Valliant. They are meant to be 20mm but are in fact more like slender 25mm. The mortar is the same size as Warlords metal one.
The plastic Vickers fits as well... 8-)

@Paul
I agree. The lanyard makes it so...British. Love it!

Managed another crew for the 3'' and a chap with a 2'' mortar for the platoon's command squad.
Hopefully get another two squads done by April. I'm hoping to pick some vehicles up at Salute.
Thinking of some lorries and Bren Carriers for a starters.
And maybe a captured German truck for my sneaky Commandos... 8-)

Cheers
