At a loose end this evening.... so I might indulge in starting to watch The Pacific - got it for my birthday 18months ago and it's still sealed :(

Over the weekend, finish off some orc landing craft and start work on Frost's HQ at Arnhem bridge in 1/72nd scale. A fantastic excuse **cough*** reason to watch A Bridge Too Far again! :P

Have a great weekend all.

Drinking toasts to a Grand Old Lady who passed away. No tears, great life.
Early to bed with 'The Legion'....Macro and cato have just finished the first route march and Ajax has burnt a fort over the other side of the river. Looks like there will be a fight!
I could fancy building a 28mm Pyramid............ :?

Finish finger ciabatta and Salad, followed by a bit more work on british commandos, Waffen SS, and Praetorian guards.

 not really, I have painting ADHD and I work on minis in little groups. I have a few praetorian waiting for base coat, 2 commandos waiting for highlights, two Waffen SS waiting for washes, and some ecw dragoones waiting in the wings. My armies are more a work of many years rather than months... Perhaps if I played with them more I'd be encouraged to get a shifty on and paint by the unit.

The 2 books I've been waiting for arrived today - both from GW's Black Library. Love or hate GW, I think the novels are fantastic. They should help pass the time on the coach tomorrow - them and my mp3 player. I've just got to decide which to read first - Dan Abnett or Sandy Mitchell (both really nice guys who I had the pleasure of meeting last September).
The downside is I'm going to miss all 3 games of the 6 nations tomorrow :( I guess I'll have to watch the highlights later on.

Pop over to Cardiff for a nice visit. The wife and I took a trip into town at about 9pm after wales won the Grand Slam in 2005. It was already littered with senseless bodies, lakes of vomit and shrieking drunks as far as the eye could see. We took a look ... then turned round and took the next bus home.

Sometimes it's enough to admire from a distance without really getting too involved.

I've been in the thick of it at Twickers a few times - they were good times!
Unfortunately I've been left in charge of several kids from our Scout group for an activity day at Ferny Crofts in the New Forest. It's going to be a very long day and won't get back until after the last game finishes - hence the need for books.

Could have been worse, at least it's not Sandy Balls

Been looking at houses tonight and out for dinner in Edinburgh so no time for painting this Friday, but have Saturday to myself so more work on the Roman watch tower (which isn't going quite to plan, might become a ruined watchtower :? ) and shall make a start on the Alexandra rifles for my Zulu project as figs from Empress turned up today :D
