We had looked into both of these troop types but not come up with any info suggesting there were scoped snipers in Normandy.
BAR gunners were Market Garden onwards.

I suggest .30 cal M1C rifles, .50 cal HB HMGs and 81mm mortars for the US airborne range. Acording Nafziger (http://www.cgsc.edu/carl/nafziger.htm) they have these weapons in december of 1944.
