Bull Run to Gettysburg

Postby Painter Jim » Mon Feb 13, 2012 8:56 pm

Has anyone here used this gaming rules system, and what do you think of the system in general. I am looking for a gaming system that someone can recomend that has gamed before in 28mm ACW. As of now I have never done any gaming myself but have enjoyed watching gamers at conventions and have only experienced the painting aspects of the hobby and am very exited to finally having a go at it.

Have a look at Blackpowder, this covers ACW as well as other periods that you may wish to dip into.
Cheers

There is a group of my local crowd who really like BP for ACW. Seems to work for them

We have used BR2G, and its not bad.

The best way I can descibe it is Guns at Gettysburg lite. It is very playable and has kinda the right feel, but can sometimes feel a little lacking.

For me its a nice game for a fast evenings play at the club, but for big games BP all the way, and for something with more period feel then G@G.
