Plastic Persians

I see that you are now releasing the Immortal Persian, but what is happening to the plastic Persians, will we be seeing them at all?

As nice as I would be I am beginning to doubt it.. :(
However, we might get surprised after all!

Ultimately I'd rather have more for my new Mack army,
PLASTIC companion cavalry in particular 8-)
And some command figures wouldn't go amiss neither..

Cheers

I asked the same question of Warlord as I was expecting Immortal to have pushed these out some time back. They responded that there were some tooling issues to deal with after they purchased Immortal, but they were still planning to issue them.

However, from a commercial perspective, I would not expect these to appear soon as they have just issued an excellent set of Archaemenid Persians with all the associated sculpting and casting costs. So I will be buying the latter once I have cleared a painting backlog.

I was tempted by the recent plastic Persians from Wargames Factory but from the pictures I could see - and there was very little available on the web - these look dire. Also the detail on the Roman cavalry I bought from them was very fine and difficult to paint. My contacts in Australia however think WF are very good however. Your choice.

Yes, Persians in plastic will be forthcoming.

Fair bit of resculpting to do though to bring them up to tooling standard so it'll be a while.
Cheers,

Is there any idea of how long a while will be :)

That's great news! This is really going to make Persian armies economically viable. Thank you!
