No problem! Metallica are one of my favourite bands and that version of the song is simply awesome.

What were you up to on the deserts - apart from getting sunburnt and dodging scorpions

Hi Sandman, welcome. Love the Kazoo Metallica link. One of my favourite tracks on the only instrument I could ever play! ;)

Yes welcome. A little early here for me to wait for the Sandman.

In our TV he is the star of a daily children TV program, putting the sand in the eyes of the children to make them sleepy. But I'm sure you will soon show us something thrilling, not lulling. ;)

Welcome aboard, Contubernalis, looking forward to some snaps of Legio Sandman. If you have any questions then I'll be amazed if someone can't answer it for you. :)

I spent a couple of tours in Iraq and one in Helmand. Too much sand. My legions will definitely not be tramping around the far east. Gual and Britannia for my boys. I'm looking forward to getting my boxes and getting started.

Humbugged, having read the forums, I too would be amazed if I have a question that someone doesn't have the answer to.

Thanks all, for the warm welcome.

Oh, there will always be lots of different answers to any question you ask ... all of them the only right answer ...

Are you the Sandman who brought me a dream? Because if so, he wasn't really the cutest I've ever seen ... not that I really cared because I'm straight but ... you know, just saying ...

I'm a US Marine, though I've shared a lot of sand laden chow with tommies.

My brother was attached to a Marine Armoured outfit in Iraq. He said he loved it because you guys had your own ice-cream vans.
