Introductions

Postby sandman36 » Sat Feb 25, 2012 8:14 pm

Hello all. I'm entering the terrifying world of historical gaming, being a long time GW gamer. I've been staring at the Warlord Romans for years and, since I finally decided to take the plunge, I've bought HC and joined the forum. My lovely wife has also bought me several boxes of troops, and some Celts to fight them, but those are waiting to go into the post.

I've been checking out the forum here and have been impressed with the knowledge, friendliness and the quality of the posts. I'm looking forward to this.

Hello Sandman and welcome to all things Rome. Look forward to seeing pictures of your figures when you get them painted up.

Do you have any ideas for conversions or are you going to do them straight out of the box?

Some roots go deep beyond nations.

BD, I'll build one unit straight out of the box. I have two boxes of legionaries, one of auxilliaries, one of veterans and one of Praetorian guard on the way. I won't be able to stop the conversions once I get all of those pieces laid out.

That was totally awesome! I chose the name because I have spent an aweful lot of time in various deserts in the last ten years. I'm totally putting that link in my sig though. Thanks.
