Re: Most Historically Accurate Roman Army Novels?

Postby FrankSollitto » Fri Feb 24, 2012 7:54 pm

I first read the Centurion Trilogy (by Damien Hunter) back in the 1980s. There was supposed to have been a fourth book published. From the pre-release information, the story was to have taken the brothers to Dacia. I presume it was never printed, as I have never been able to locate a copy, but would be thrilled to hear otherwise. Does anyone happen to have any information about it?

Thank you and Regards

Actually...there was to be an entire slew of novels taking the brothers all the way up into Trajan's reign. The second generation was to pick-up, in full force, with Hadrian. Rumor had it that Correus (note my forum name ;) ) was to end up commanding a legion at the beginning of Hadrian's reign ( was that retiring from commanding a legion at that point).

I know someone who knows the author - who is in fact a woman.
“conscribe te militem in legionibus. pervagare orbem terrarium. inveni terras externas. cognosce miros peregrines. eviscera eos” ̴ “Join the legions, see the world, travel to foreign parts, meet interesting and exotic people, and disembowel them.”
