Finns. Let's hope it's Finns ... or a desert army ... ;)
On the WB: surprise, surprise. Lots o' Celts, plus some old skool Citadel minis and a few Warlord plastic ECW horses for painting practice - which are, btw, a world away from the Celt cavalry ones.
Oh, and this:

Clive - that looks suspiciously like a Roman encampment, no?

The Guy Ant is an intersting model. I was just reading up about this truck the other day . It's production numbers were in fact quite low compared to the Bedfords. Very interesting sloping bonnet ;)

@Cubster: It's a project I started early last year from some insulation board the builders left; haven't had the time to return to it, but all this hut building by Carvel has spurred me on. The idea was to have the six wall sections (with separate claviculae) to make different sizes of marching camps, or just simple walls to defend - unlike Legio XX's impregnable fortress - for ease of storage and to just plonk down on any game table or terrain. Design was based roughly on some camps in the Lakes:

The land with the forts on was sold last year for £42k - would have been nice to have, makes the Grand Manner camp look quite reasonable, but SWMBO wasn't falling for it! ;)

Nice, good luck with it.

By the way, I've got a butt load of forex - like a lightweight plasticard, ideal for terrain, bases, buildings etc.. - in case anyone would like some. I have a fairly large store of the stuff in the loft and yesterday the missus came home with four sheets of the stuff, each about 4ft x 3ft, so there's plenty for me to cut up and send off to whoever wants some.

I've also got plenty of featherboard/foam board, whatever you call it.

Paul McD, I'm thinking specifically about you here sir.

My plans are out the window and work again is cutting into my time a lot at the moment (as well as the kids).

My original idea of not starting anything new went out the question and although fantasy and not historical I have started up a new Skaven Warhammer army. That's been my main stay at the moment. That and finishing off my SM Dreadnought.

My ECW Cavalry are still kicking about on my board as well. Horses are together and I have started to put the riders together to would like to get the primmed and started ASAP.

Have a unit of Covenanters primmed also (have been for a while) just seems to be that a I am pinching only an hour or two at a time at the moment and I want to give them longer time.

I have bought a copy of Hail Caeser also - you know where that will end......(future project!) and I got a copy of Witchfinder General to just for a read!

Almost got a copy of Saga to but it wasn't reprinted in time.....
