I wasn't even planning on buying these but i'm struggling not to because of you! I must hold on to the shameful fact that my Union Cannon isn't finished and I've went and bough a Fallschy PAk40 and 11 dudes on a whim tonight!
Let them eat Static.

These are going to be my only new project later this year ( time permitting) but may roll them over to 2013.

By then I should have the full range to choose from ;)

@BD
Unfortunately not. Those are the only four bodies/ poses you get..
But there are some extra pikes/ arms! I think I will try a conversion sooner or later 8-)

Ohhh..I quite fancied the idea of a wall of pikes, that is a shame.
maybe an oportunity for warlord to do some front rankers then ;)

Again very well done. The miniatures with both hands at the Sarissa are much more convincing in my personal opinion.
The pikes seem a little thick but short. Or is that just the picture?
Not the late Hellenistic very long ones that had a coupling in the mid to combine two shaft parts?

And only fully armoured men. May be we see unarmoured ones later.

The pikes are about a millimetre longer than the Pike&Shotte ones and just as thick.
And since my Parliamentarians never had a pike snapped I'd consider it the perfect size for wargaming miniatures :P
There are spare pikes included and if your want to elongate it's just a matter of enthusiasm ;)

I am personally happy with armoured men only, but I suppose Warlord will add several metal figures to this range just like they do for their others.

Cheers

Beautiful. I love the way you've painted these.

Of course, in the Afghan Campaign they were using the nine foot pikes. Great book, that.

Quick update..
They are coming along nicely I think. For more diversity I added some Immortal plastic heads:

Coming along nicely, I do like the GW movement tray approach. Creates a very tidy look. What is your recipe for all the gold/bronze metal work?
