Looking at my Valerio Massimo Manfredi 'Alexander' trilogy last night I wondered if it was time to re-read them.

Your inspiring work isn't helping me to get on with any real work you know.

I'm loving that! Just the way I like them, a clean and highly skilled paintjob and textbook base finish.

That's really good, very tidy (and fast!) painting. Must resist ... :(
And get some of those speed painting lessons from you! :?

Realy great paintwork. But no surprse from you.

I must confess I dislike the pose of the miniatures . Imagin to keep the Sarissa upright in this position marching for some minutes.
The sauroter seems to be larger than the example found at Vergina and that "rocket fin " type is not the typical one from findings and ancient illustration. A similar one was found in Olympia. There was a discussion that this was from a naval arm and Andronikos, who found the Vergina one, suggested that possibilty for that too.

Well, I fear we will never know for sure.

Kinda matters to me 8-)
I think poses look okay for toy figures. And indeed we will never really know how they looked in reality :o

May I take to opportunity to thank Warlord Games for producing splendid wargaming figures and humbly ask for plastic Companion Cavalry..?
8-)

Cheers
