Looking at my Valerio Massimo Manfredi 'Alexander' trilogy last night I wondered if it was time to re-read them.

Realy great paintwork. But no surprse from you.

I must confess I dislike the pose of the miniatures . Imagin to keep the Sarissa upright in this position marching for some minutes.
The sauroter seems to be larger than the example found at Vergina and that "rocket fin " type is not the typical one from findings and ancient illustration. A similar one was found in Olympia. There was a discussion that this was from a naval arm and Andronikos, who found the Vergina one, suggested that possibilty for that too.

Well, I fear we will never know for sure.

Kinda matters to me
I think poses look okay for toy figures. And indeed we will never really know how they looked in reality
