American or British at D-Day

Postby Stratoq » Fri Feb 17, 2012 6:15 pm

Which would be a better army to collect for a beginner at bolt action. I have painting experience and have played other world war 2 games in the past?

Dont quite understand what your saying, but if your saying "using Bolt action Miniatures" then surely it depends on what rules set your using.

Rules of Engagment mainly, however I will probably use them with other rules in the future.

Up to you really, depends which army floats your boat. I prefer US, especially 101st Airborne. Either army as there really isnt anything rules wise that would make the choice easier or harder.

This is a question that can only really be answered by yourself. Anything that we say is just going to be what we like ourselves. Personally, I have British Paras as well as British infantry. Where does your interest lie and what do you like the most, be that vehicles or whatever. Of course, there are a number of US vehicles that can be used by both sides or you can go for true British ones if you go with a British force.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have looked into some battles around the time and I'm going to recreate the Battle of Carentan (Bloody Goulch). Therefore I am going for the US 101st Airborne. Thanks again for the help! :D
