And now the typical IO bucket of salt in the soup:

99% of these movie Japanese are not filmed in colour but coloured later in the studio. So be carefull in using them as source for your painting.

But still very inspiring.

I've lost count how many crappy recoloured pictures I've had presented to me as evidence of green US webbing in WWII.
Pick a obscure kit part as a colour reference, if it's wrong then you can discount the whole thing. Most recoloured images exist in B&W so easy enough to sniff out.
Let them eat Static.

You're right Invisible Officer. Some videos you can clearly see theres just a green tone and flesh colour on the screen.

Type in "HCterrorist" in the search box to see a ton of re-coloured videos of the german army.

Be warned though. Some vidoes might be disturbing.
