Beautiful work, as always. How do you do the shields? I'm assuming they're transfers and not freehand...

Thanks! The shields are transfers by Little Big Men Studios, available from the Warlord web-store.

Great job!

I'm going to have to get some of those sentries. As to Macro & Cato - I'm with Stuart, not sure about getting them but you may have tipped the balance.

As to the dip...for some reason I'm still very leery of trying it....

Phil -

The wall structure the sentries are on...did you make that or buy it?

I was going to ask about that wall aswell. It really sets the mini's off nicely.
I like the plain backdrop to the photography as well. Is that the curved white card trick or something different?

It's a watchtower from Grand Manner: http://www.grandmanner.co.uk/Stone_Watchtower--product--670.html. It was a decent price when I bought it, but is now an eye-watering £37.10. Not sure I'd consider it value for money now. Having said that, it was fun to paint, and it sees a lot of action - not just for Romans either - it gets trotted out sometimes for our Friday night rpg sessions.

If I ever win the lottery, Grand Manner get my business - I can't afford them otherwise
