What's not to like..... :D :D

I have a copy of this book...inspirational and, as far as I'm concerned, very factual :D
'Once upon a time, in the reign of King Richard Coerr- de -Lion to be precise, there lived in Sussex a certain landowner known as William de Littlehampton. He was exceedingly rich, the lord of five manors with rights of soccage, corkage and drainage between Chanctonbury Ring and Bognor-supra-Mare and in addition enjoyed the rare privilege of fishing for sturgeon in the river Arun. (In fact there were no sturgeon in the river Arun but this was nevertheless regarded as a very rare distinction).
Now boys and girls...that is a book worth reading!

Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Yes, but they are all so dark and Germanic! Whereas the Third Crusade ... it's light, and airy, and very French! Huzzah!

All I want is some knights to play with. :D

Therefore If Warlord do have intentions then they should make an official announcement before some of their potential business goes to this other company. As I am pretty sure if such an annoucemnt was made people like me would hold fire and be prepared to wait. After all we have already waited for a long time so perhaps another 6 months -1 year isn't going to make much of a difference.

As I have said before I think Warlord would do a very good job of this range and the market is clearly out there.

@Colonelwhite

Keep your powder dry old chap... concentrate on those lovely 20mm tanks for a while longer.

That will give Warlord a chance to make their move... or if not at least a more complete range might be out from fireforge.

That is why I have held of from conquest Normans, they look fantastic but I wouldn't want to make up a box or two of cavalry and then be twiddling my thumbs for month while more sets are done. I like the Warlord way better. Like with the Zulu stuff, the main bulk of the sets are out within a couple of months timeframe.

I wouldn't want Warlord to keep promising kits that are like...vapourware, promised and then years to come out, the current timeframes are quite enough for me to handle.

On a totally different tack, probably should start another thread but have PSC abandoned the 28mm size models?

Not abandoned but cut back including all future projects in 28mm.

This is Brian at the stores view of which I share. PSC's main markets are 15mm ( 6 boxes of Panthers were delivered and sold within the hour!) and secondary the 20mm market. I think they have found the 28mm market very tough as there are many marquee brands including Warlord already well established. It goes without saying who's product I would prefer ;)

I must admit having a certain fondness for the Knights Hospitaller - also known as the Knights os St John - who are still prevalent today under the guise of St. Johns Ambulance.

St. John's Ambulance has no link to either of the successor orders: the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem or Brandenburg Bailiwick of the Chivalric Order of Saint John of the Hospital at Jerusalem (or further successors in Holland and Sweden).

St. Johns was founded as a revival order (also called a mimic order) which was granted a royal charter by Queen Victoria and uses the same emblem - obviously before modern IP law was passed ;)

But he is correct.

The same story with the templars, there is a modern group claiming to be successors. But no connection. :geek: :ugeek:
