I've obtained horse and goat hair for lime plastering from builders' merchants - dunno about "rubberised" hair. What's it for? :?:

I can let you know later in the week. A club member gets it and it comes in very large batches. However, I'll only be seeing him on Thursday evening and can't get in touch with him before. I'll post it when I find out, even if you get sorted.

Yes railway modellers tend to use lots of it for making hedges tree foliage etc. I do think there are better alternatives these days but obviously "Steve" needs some for a specialist application. I havn't seen this stuff around for a few years now but I havn't exactly been looking for it either.

Yes, our club has masses of great Bocage made using it and some nice trees, all home made. There are a number of trees and hedges on the market that are all made from this stuff. Really quite effective.

Al - How does it really look ? Ok or really good. I always thought this stuff was old school compared to the stuff the Woodland Scenics produce.

The reason why I ask is that my Mrs wants to get involved with the scenery side of things for my Wargames board ,but I want great looking scenery as opposed to what we would use at the club. ;)

The Last Valley produces a lot of scenery using the stuff and is at most shows. He has an ebay store too. I apologise for the link I am about to post, but it shows some of his stuff. If admin want to remove it, that's fine. I have no connection with them, just trying to show an example.

If the link is removed, I'll take my camera to the club on Thursday and take a couple of pics of our stuff. It is really useful.

I also seem to remember that Grand Manner used to sell trees made of it as well. I don't think that they do anymore, though. It is quite rugged, so ideal for a games table.
