Different, hmmm. Like the Gripping beast ones they have elaborate helmet signs of 19th century reconstruction type and old movie style. Sergej Eisenstein.
The still existing clothing rules of the order and modern research should have made that fuss obsolete. But the customers get what they demand. They will sell well.

I'm guessing the third set are for the Iberian Crusades against the Moors there, but that's just a guess judging by the cover art.

Nice sculpts, but better used in a fantasy game?

From the screen shots of the sprues there seem to be enough normal helms for those who want to produce more realistic knights (and the decoration look fairly easy to clip off).

The artwork on their facebook site indicates all sorts of ideas: dismounted knights, serjeants, archers as well as knights with an oriental/iberian influence. I am sure all will become clear in due course.

I am pretty certain these will become a big seller. I think Warlord missed a trick here. Damn shame really :!:

Have to say i like these, but not the Bretonian style helmet ornaments...but each to their own.
I will cut them off and of course use the plain style ones....but it isn't an issue for me.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
When there are alternative options everyone should be happy and of course it appeals to more people, so more sales.

Historical accuracy...well yes perhaps that should be top of designers lists, but 100% accuracy can never really be achieved or truly desired by the customer base.
If we went through all toy soldiers to check for inaccurracies and binned the ones that didn't match up to the high expectations you'd all be gamming with warhammer figures because there wouldn't be anything else left.....please remember this point for future reference.

Really looking forward to the infantry actually. Normal, chainmail wearing soldiers with shields and spears/swords or bows. That'll be lovely.
